Beneath the lists and plans and all the little responsibilities of the day, there is still this quiet, beautiful part of you that knows what feels like you. You can hear it in the things that make you soften, the moments that make you smile without thinking, the places where you breathe a little deeper and feel completely at home in yourself.
So perhaps this is your invitation to notice. Notice what feels good in a way that has nothing to do with having everything go right. Notice what nourishes you. What draws you closer. What makes you curious. What makes you want to linger. Notice the colors you love, the music that moves you, the people who make you feel at ease, the places where you can exhale. Notice the simple pleasures that bring a little more beauty into an ordinary day.
Sometimes you know before you have the words. A quiet yes. A gentle no. A desire that keeps returning. A sense that something is no longer yours. A little spark that says, I want more of this. You don’t have to explain every knowing. You don’t have to turn every desire into a plan. You can simply let yourself notice.
And then there is aliveness. That wonderful feeling of being here for your own life. It might arrive in the middle of a walk, while you’re standing in the sunshine, laughing with someone you love, making something with your hands, listening to a song, or catching sight of something beautiful that makes you stop for just a moment. These moments don’t have to be grand to matter. Sometimes the smallest things bring us back to ourselves.
You don’t have to become someone new to feel more alive. There is already so much within you that is worthy of your attention, your affection, and your time. The woman you are today has preferences, desires, pleasures, wisdom, curiosity, tenderness, and a life of her own.
So this week, come a little closer to yourself. Let yourself notice what makes your heart lift. Follow what feels nourishing. Make room for what is beautiful. Stay a little longer with what makes you feel alive.
And when you find something that feels like a quiet, unmistakable yes, don’t hurry past it.
Let yourself have it.
Let yourself enjoy it.
Let yourself be changed by the simple beauty of knowing what feels like you.
With love,
Yourself
